“호와호(howaho)”는 싱어이자 여러 악기를 연주하는 “이호(eeeho)”와 싱어이자 기타리스트, 여러 악기를 연주하는 “모호(Mohho)”로 이루어진 듀오이다. 둘은 모든 노래를 함께 쓰고 있다. 각자 싱어-송라이터로 활동하던 중 서로의 독특한 분위기에 영감을 얻어 공동작업을 제안, 듀오 활동을 시작했다.
호와호의 첫 앨범 [Unknown Origin]은 2016년 한국대중음악상 최우수 포크 음반 부문 후보로 선정되었다. 이후 레이어드 신스와 보컬, 특유의 복합적 리듬을 살리며 다양한 음악 스타일, 곡의 구조, 가치관을 보여주며 일렉트로닉 요소가 가미된 얼터너티브 영역으로 궤적을 옮겨 왔다.
호와호는 시적인 가사가 담긴 멜로디를 중심으로 심플하고 부드럽지만 무게감있는 일렉기타 사운드, 다양한 깊이의 전자비트와 앰비언트 사운드스케이프를 만들어내며 아름다움, 매력, 감정 등을 선보인다. 그들은 음악의 질감만큼 다채로운 세계관을 전하고 있으며 연동되는 비디오 작업을 직접 기획하고 촬영, 편집하는 등 다양한 시각적 작업을 탐구하고 있다.

“howaho” is a duo consisting of singer and multi-instrumentalist “eeeho” and “Mohho”, who also plays guitar. They write all of their songs together. When they were working as individual singer-songwriters, they became inspired by each other’s unique style, so proposed collaboration to each other and started a duo.
